Aww Man (Round 2?)

Hey Guys !

Im closing in on my third week in Japan. (Nippon is the actual name ) and Its okay. I am a little homesick , well who am I kidding . IM VERY HOMESICK . And only three weeks ? Jezzsh.. Well I just have to look at the postive aspects of this whole experience. Im very blessed to be where I am at the moment. Ive also been slowly catching up in my Japenese studies but at a snails pace (better then nothing). Everyone here is willing to help me in anyway possible . I go to tutoring everyday in the morning before class , and I have a wonderful friend (the girl you are seeing in all the pictures with me) that is always motivating and inspring me to do better. Theres alot of postive energy here.

The whole country is filled with smiles and hellos ! Im for real ! One thing that makes me sad is that I wish I had more people to experience this with . My close friends , my family ; I just wish they were with me. But thats why I try to have this blog . I dont update as often as I should but I just dont want to bore anyone with random crap.

So Ive been "studying" , eating , and running ... and eating ... lol ... and observing. OBSERVING is my number one lesson to life here in Japan . It how I'm learning their customs and way of life . From giving them back the receipt at the counter (they recycle EVERYTHING) to getting in a single-file line to wait for the next train - I'm attempting to integrate myself into society .

I TRY VERY HARD NOT TO LOOK LIKE A TOURIST . You know those foreigners , who are so obvious in Miami . With their high socks , Mountain climbing sandals , and huge book bags? YEAH , I'm not one of them . And I'm defiantly a bit flyyer so I'm keepin it cool .

WELL tomorrow I have a Saturday class about "Japanese Psychology" at 9 am. Then me and my friend Laura are going to go to this place called Sunshine city and cheaply shop . I'm not planning on buying expensive fly stuff ( bape etc) until I leave because I have to manage and see how long I can stretch my money. Laura was trying to make me eat Burger King here but I feel like that's a sin being we are in Japan but I believe we are going to give in tomorrow and have some "fast food" . Hehe . Ill let yall know how it taste !

Ive been looking at schools to apply to too . Because when I come back I will be done with the Infamous Miami Dade College and have to make a decision to where I will continue my education. Alot of life decisions going on right now ! will u be in them? who knows...

love u guys and miss Miami like hell . You know I have my Rick Ross on deck . When you look up in the sky in the morning , just imagine - Im sleeping ... 13 Hour Time difference my friends... not very convenient...

The past few days have been better for me personally , as I'm getting used to my atmosphere and surroundings. I know my way around the trains,my dorm, and my school. I also got used to spending my money smartly and have a new attitude about the whole situation. If I get an "F" - Its for FABULOUS! lol . I'm going to make the best of this trip as I can , because when I get to Miami its back to reality (Oops there goes Gravity)

Now I'm going to Introduce my little "picture segment" -

I wanted you guys to see the people in Tokyo , not the documentaries , or Google Images - REAL people - walking lol . The fashion here is crazy - they were not lying . Its Inspirational to say the least . When I get back , im totally going to start just wearing the crap I thought was too out there . Here's its all about being special and displaying your personality with your clothing. Its beautiful and the girls are ALL pretty. NO HOMO . They are all beautiful . I cant mess with these Japanese chicks.

1. Its rude to eat on the train.

2. You must put cell phones on silent.

3.Keep the noise level to a minimum.

-Which means either you hear your ipod,play w. phone, read , or fall asleep. Which many people do (me being one of them)

-9/10 People in Japanese own some kind of Designer hand bag - and Im pretty sure they aren't counterfeit- theres tons of designer stores , lookin like Bal Harbour all over this city...

- AND I guess the guys ain't shy to having purses TOO ! HAA im gonna say NO HOMO for this guy since he was walkin so fast :)

-Alot of people are walking around with facial masks to prevent spread of sickness..its a normal thing..

Hey Guys ...

Finally getting the hang of this blog thing... I think? I added little buttons on the bottom to like say your reactions to the blog so if not Ill spice it up or what not . Also I made it so you can leave comment even if your not logged in and such... So let me get to the "good stuff".

Ive only been a week here in Tokyo but it seems like longer ... To be exact I live in a Dormitory in the Ikebukuro ward of the city . I take the subway everyday which reminds me more and more of how I want to live in New York . New York is the Americans Tokyo . No Joke . But also in my days Ive realized something . Being a foreigner and not understanding the countries language is really hard on a person. Remember how back in High School there was always that ESOL student ( for those who don't know ,ESOL was a program for students who were learning English) and they where always behind. The class would go slow or you would have to wait for them to understand something. You would watch them and either feel real bad or annoyed . Me personally, I hated people back at home that didn't know English . Id say in my head , " Your in America Learn English !" , I know that I was being mean too . But i regret that and I take it back ...

I'm one of those people now . Today I went to the post office . I was trying to see how much it would cost to mail something . But I couldn't speak to the lady trying to help me .I got frustrated and said never mind and left .... I felt like an idiot ... Those are the type of things that make me miss the US .

Anyways ... Ive been listening to Erykah Badu ... "Baduizm" ....

OKOKOKOK Enough ...

So Like i said I journeyed into the mecca of all fashionistas ( well at least I think so ) HARAJUKU !! I went pretty late so there was not alot of crazy-ness like there usually is upose to be ... Passed by a few hot "sneakerhead" spots.... Bape , Surpreme , Ice Cream/BBC , etc. and Found this dope consignment shop called "Fools Judge" ... check out their blog here . Its in Japanese though-but they prices are madd cheap and you can read them . They are the numbers just imagine a dot where its suppose to be . And remember Our dollars weak .

I know these pictures aren't all that great . I shoulda , woulda, coulda , taken better pictures of the stores and clothing etc . But to be honest I wasn't buying anything and I didn't want to be one of those kids (usually Asian sneakerheads with cameras) taking pictures in the "cool" stores . So i kept it very private , if you cant tell lol.

I cooked today ! Very Simple cooking .. Noddles and hamburger meat . My mom said I needed protein in my diet . Here I go Mami !

As You see I dont have much room to work with. I found some of what i think was soy sause and I used packets from left over microwable noddle packets as seasoning. Im so ghetto lol.

Im going to try to study I have a Hiragana test tommarow . I am very care-free not stressin a thang !

OK OK OK --- so I'm going to be very vague on purpose . Its nearly impossible to explain all the things that have happened in my days here ...

I made this blog to share my experiences with the people I love and care for . I get a lot of questions about how is it here , how am I doing , show me pictures , etc . And Id love to do that for everyone but I feel like if I could just have all that information in one place it would make it easier for me to express whats going on . Instead of sending out 7 E-Mails with all the same crap. :) . 

I originally arrived here to take a Japanese Language Course at this school here in Tokyo. That is still the plan but my enthusiasm for the subject has declined due to my lack of knowledge of the Japanese Alphabet . Now no one said this was gonna be easy . But Its nearly impossible to learn the material so quickly. The classes are filled with Korean and Chinese students , I'M NOT OVER EXAGGERATING , BUT I'M THE ONLY AMERICAN IN MY CLASS . ONE HISPANIC IN MY CLASS , AND 1 OUT OF 2 PEOPLE WHO ARE ENGLISH SPEAKERS . 

Lets get this straight . I know no Japanese . And I mean 0% , nada , zip . Exception are the words like using which are like 8 at tops and I know numbers 1-19 .lol. But its really scary . I wanted to come here more for the culture and the fashion and i mean its freaking Japan , why not?!?!? I did not expect it to be so intense , when I say intense im not joking ( i don't want anyone to think im giving up or giving excuses ) But my textbooks are completely in Japanese and when I don't know the Alphabet its kinda like F-This ....

 I dont mean to put my self down ahead of time either but the class seems like its going to move extremely fast .  So im probably just going to go at my own pace and give it my all ... but not stress it too much ...

On the other hand, I cant believe Im here . This experience it one of a kind. I wake up and Its like a dream. I feel like Im living in a movie . You don't know how different my life is from this ! Other then being completely independent , Im used to always being in communication with my peoples back at home , but this is beyond ....

I just wish you could be here with me . Experience what Im experiencing . Im a Miami-an . Us Miami-ans are like from another world ! I feel like the refs must feel back in Miami , when they come from Cuba or something , and they know no English . but wait , at least they can get by . 

Do you know what it is to look around and not be able to read ANYTHING ! IT FUCKING SUCKS ! I feel like an idiot.... 

anyways enough negatively. Ive been slacking off happily walking around the city and I went shopping but dont worry Im cheapy but I got some winter clothes because in the rush of things I didnt pack any sweaters and jackets  ... ummm .... also that's it I plan to visit Bape in the next week .... tryna do a lil come up !  connects ya naa mean...

well i have to "study " pffff .. sure ... 

Im going to start advertising this blog from now on .. LOL . yes I will be annoying people on all social networking sites ... but hey its all love babyyyyy
